I'm not sure what kind of plastic this is- thermoset, lucite, but I know these were popular in the 40's and 50's. This one has green on the stem, orangy-pink on the stamen and a faded lavender (I think) on the petals. It measures 3 1/8" by 2 3/4" and is three dimensional. The pinback is the older plastic c-clasp. No cracks or bends! Just a bit faded with age!
The design that made Krementz famous! This lovely basket is filled with the beautiful Krementz roses. There are 4 layered flowers in Rose gold with yellow gold stems and veined, lifelike leaves. The basket is an openweave and has a delicate carved look design on top. Measuring 1 7/8" by 1 3/8", this piece has lots of depth. The rope twist basket handle and brim actually stick out away from the roses. This is in like new condition- and signed KREMENTZ and something else very small on the pinstem. Probably typical gold overlay. A Beauty of a pin!
This is nicely tinted cast potmetal brooch! Hard to see in the scan- but the color is a washed transluscent red- both front and back. This is what caused the glare in the picture! Measuring 2 1/2" all ways- The ruby red buds are actually faceted acrylic! And they are in GREAT shape! Usually you will see scratching and wear- but not on these! This piece was obviously well taken care of. The other 2 flowers have red stamens and the ribbon weaves amid the stems. Signed with a raised S inside of a star. In excellent condition!
This is a nice sparkly set! The brooch measures 4" long- the flower head is 1 3/4" across. The setting is a textured silvertone with a heavy cast metal detailed stem and leaves. There are 2 layers of flower petals that hold riveted skinny marquis rhinestones. Full View(click here) The bottom layer is a montana blue- the top a light blue. They are layered so the petals alternate color. The center is a beautiful deep blue AB rhinestone round surrounded by a row of smaller blue AB rhinestone rounds- all stones are prongset. The clip earrings measure 1 3/8" across and are over 1/2" high at the center. The flower looks like a Black-Eyed Susan in design. There is a bit of age at the tips of a couple of the lighter blue marquis stones- and pinpoints in the center , but not seen unless you are looking straight into the stones. It does NOT detract from the glitz and shine! The settings are in excellent condition- as most of the rhinestones are. A very lovely set! Back(click here)
